She led her team to two NCAA appearances and two regular season and conference championships. Blackburn was a two-year captain of the San Diego State women's basketball team and a four-year starting guard for the Aztecs. Neverett previously served as the radio play-by-play voice of the Boston Red Sox for three seasons (2016-18) following a seven-year stint as the radio and television play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
